CONTENT
Frau und Mann, eingeschlossen in ihrer Wohnung. Sie führen einen Ehekrieg. Seit 17 Jahren. Noch immer haben sie es nicht geschafft, einander zu verstehen. Auf der Straße wird es unruhig. Ein Krieg beginnt. Das ändert nichts. Während draußen ein gewaltsamer Umsturz der Welt vor sich geht, fechten die beiden drinnen weiter ihre privaten Schlachten: Ist es zu heiß oder zu kalt? Die Venus von Milo oder die Freiheitsstatue? Und immer wieder: Schildkröte oder Schnecke?

Nora and I have been married fore more than seven years, and we know that this story has got a lot to do with us. An uncle and an aunt coming to the performance, who have been married for sixty (!) years, do not recognize that this piece is practically made up of them.
Her: Snails and turtles are exactly the same.
Him: Not at all. They’re not the same creature.
Her: You are a creature!
And what a creature you are!
